Dr. Shana’s Bio

Dr. Shana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and California. She received her Master’ Degree from the University of Southern California in 1989 and earned her doctorate from the University of San Francisco in 2002.  She has practiced in the field of mental health since 1989.

Prior to establishing a successful private practice, Dr. Shana worked as a psychologist at the UCLA Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Intensive Treatment program for over 5 years.  She trained under world renowned treatment providers; Gerald Tarlow, PhD, Karron Maidment, LMFT, and Jamie Feusner, MD.

She worked for 10 years at UCLA in the trauma center and notably the Center for AIDS Research and Education.  Services provided included crisis intervention and short term counseling for people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Shana currently specializes in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and other anxiety disorders such as Social Anxiety and Panic, with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).  While work is done in the office, Dr. Shana also does home visits.
